THE Prime Minister's Office has announced that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has approved the appointments of the new Chairman and Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) Sdn Bhd.

Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has been appointed as the Chairman of BSP and its subsidiaries and Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd.

Members of the new board of directors are Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Rtd) Datu Seri Paduka Hj Mohamad Yasmin Hj Umar, deputy minister of defence; Pg Dato Paduka Osman Pg Hj Patra, permanent secretary at the Prime Minister's Office; Hj Morni Hj Mohamed, permanent secretary at the Department of Economic Planning and Development at the Prime Minister's Office; Hj Bahrin Abdullah, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Finance; Hj Erywan Pehin Mohd Yusof, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Hj Zulkiflee Hj Abd Karim, acting director of Brunei Petroleum Unit.

The appointments of the BSP Chairman and Board of Directors took effect as from September 1, 2008. (RSH1)
