During a dinner at Riverview Hotel last night, the Brunei-China Friendship Association voiced its hope to visit the northern part of China to explore business potential there.
The dinner was held in conjunction with the visit of Mr Shen Wenbo, Vice Chairman of Shengyang Municipal Committee of Chinese Peoples Political Conference, Mr Liu Lnbo, Deputy Mayor of people's Government of Xinmin City, Ms Hao Xin, Vice Director of Shengyang Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation, Mr Zhang Ziqun, Department Chief of Shengyang Municipal Development & reform Commission and Mr Li Liming, Department Chief of Shengyang Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation.
Present at the dinner were some top members of the association including Dr Hj Kamaruddin bin Dato Seri Paduka Hj Talib, President of the Brunei-China Friendship Association and Dr Tan Kah Hock, Secretary General of the Brunei-China Friendship Association.
At the dinner, Dr Tan Kah Hock said the association has gained strengths and it is looking into promoting business and trade between Brunei and China.
He observed that all this while, the trade relationship only focused on the southern areas but there are also opportunities in the north. |
