One of the ten physically disabled children from Hong Kong Red Cross Society greeted upon arrival

Hong Kong star Miriam Yeung Chin Wah arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday evening as the charity ambassador for the Young Blossoms of Hong Kong Red Cross Society to attend a charity event hosted by Goodmiles Sdn Bhd in cooperation with KACA.

Accompanying Miriam Yeung were ten physically disabled children from Hong Kong Red Cross Society and five assistants.

Present to receive them were TC Chun, the managing director of Goodmiles, Cikgu Hj Abdul Alim Hj Othman, the managing director of KACA and Jean Christopher Robles Espinosa, the director of marketing of Brunei Tourism.

Also on hand to greet Miriam Yeung were her local fans.

Held in conjunction of the International Disabled Person Day, the aim of the event was to provide a new atmosphere for the children, making them aware of the environment, giving them the opportunity to explore the other parts of the world that will help them to develop a better self-esteem towards life.

Fifteen KACA children will also get a chance to meet with the Hong Kong delegation today (Thursday).

The event is supported by The Empire Hotel and Country Club, Royal Brunei Airlines, Orchid Garden Hotel, DST Group, Sheraton Utama Hotel, The Rizqun International Hotel, McDonalds, Portview Seafood Restaurant, Millennium Fast Food and Restaurant, Sunlit Advertising, Daikyo Environmental Recycling, Intan Electric Co Sdn Bhd, Jerudong Park and country club, Best Eastern and Coco's Cchocolate Paradise.
