As part of the celebration series to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Brunei Darussalam and the 15th anniversary of the dialogue relationship between China and ASEAN, the Dance Academy of Beijing is going to pay a visit to Brunei from 19th to 25th May. During its visit in Brunei, the Beijing Dance Academy will stage several performances, and its programs include folk dance, classical and modern dance of different cultures.

Nestled near the beautiful Purple Bamboo Garden in Beijing, the Beijing Dance Academy boasts to be the leading institute of higher learning of dance in China. Founded in 1954, the Academy offers curriculums that include performance, choreography and dance studies; as well as Master's Degrees and Bachelor's Degrees. There are some 500 teachers and administrative staff and 2000 students in the Academy.

The Academy has long earned the reputation for excellence in professional dance training and a cradle for students who aspire to a career in the dance profession.

Serving as a direct artistic cultural link, the Academy actively participates in friendly exchanges between China and other countries, including ASEAN. Boys from the Mountain, a romance between young ethnic Yi boys and their sweethearts. 1st Prize Choreographer Winner in the National Ethnic Minority Dance Competition.
