This year, Ms. Lim Wang Ee, Mr. Kamarul Osmera Kamis, Ms. Norhafizah Haji Mohd Taha, Ms. Nuraffilah Pg. Raffee and Ms. Nur Shaahidah Sulaiman have respectively been admitted by China's Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (in Pursuit of a Master Degree on Accounting), Zhejiang University (in Pursuit of a Bachelor Degree on Digital Media Technology), Southwest University (in Pursuit of a Bachelor Degree on Psychology), Capital Normal University (in Pursuit of a Bachelor Degree on Tourism Management), and Jilin University (in Pursuit of a Master Degree on Pathology and Pathophysiology). The former four students are under full "Chinese Government Scholarship" (free tuition fees plus a monthly allowance of nearly RMB2,000 (about B$400)), and the latter one is sponsored by His Majesty's Government.

Considering that last year saw only two Bruneian students went into Chinese universities, this year's big leap signifies the further enhancement of Brunei-China educational cooperation and the further deepening of the friendship between Chinese and Bruneian peoples.
