Chinese Embassy Held Awarding and Exhibition Launching Ceremony of "Beauty of China " Painting Competition

On August 1, Chinese Embassy in Brunei held Awarding and Exhibition Launching Ceremony of “Beauty of China ” Painting Competition among Brunei primary school students in Times Square, Bandar Seri Begawan. Dr. Hajah Romaizah , deputy Minister of Education of Brunei, headmasters of participating schools, winners and their parents attended the event.

In her speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Yu Hong expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Education, participating schools, judges and students' parents for their strong support, and her special thanks to the students for their active participation. She undermined that state-to-state friendly cooperation needs the support and participation of the people and hoped that through this competition, Brunei children will know more about China, like China and become the backup force of China-Brunei friendship.

More than 400 children from 19 primary schools participated in the competition, and 50 winning works were selected for exhibition.Chinese cultural symbols such as the Great Wall, ancient pagoda, giant dragon and panda were painted by children. From the colorful and imaginative paintings, we can appreciate the innocence, fun and love of Bruneian children for China. During the event, some children asked the time of the next competition, couldn’t wait to participate again.
