Newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador H.E. Ms. Yu Hong Presents the Copy of Credentials

H.E. Ms. Yu Hong, newly-appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, presented the copy of Letter of Credence to YM Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Nor bin Haji Jeludin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam on 17 January 2019.

Ambassador Ms. Yu Hong said that China and Brunei shared a close relationship with a long history of their friendly exchanges. H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, paid a successful state visit to Brunei recently and China-Brunei relation has been lifted to a new height. She looks forward to working with the Bruneian side to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries for continuous development of the China-Brunei Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

Dato Mohd Nor extended his warm welcome to H.E. Ambassador Yu Hong and said that China was Brunei's close neighbor and good friend, and the historical state visit by President Xi Jinping to Brunei wrote a new chapter of China-Brunei relations. The Bruneian side will provide support and facilitation to H.E. Ambassador Yu Hong on performing her duty. And he believes the bilateral relations will achieve greater development through her efforts.
