Selamat Datang ke Halaman Web Rasmi Kedutaan Besar Republik Rakyat China di Negara Brunei Darussalam! Welcome to the Official Website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Negara Brunei Darussalam!
China and Brunei are good neighbours facing each other across the South China Sea. As far back as in the sixth century, envoys and merchants from the two countries began to establish mutual contacts. Zheng He, a great Chinese navigator in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD), visited Brunei during his seven voyages, and this is still remembered today. In 1408, the sixth year of Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, Maharaja Karna, the King of Boni (Brunei's ancient name), led a large delegation on a visit to China, where he was warmly received. Jalan Ong Sum Ping, named after a general of Zheng He, in Bandar Seri Begawan, and the Mausoleum of Maharaja Karna in Nanjing, bear witness to the traditional friendship between the two nations. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1991, China-Brunei relations have flourished in all fields, with growing political mutual trust and people-to-people exchanges. Bilateral cooperation in the economic and trade, cultural, sport, health, tourism, military and judicial fields have achieved remarkable progress, and sound cooperation has been registered between the two countries in both international and regional affairs. The all-round China-Brunei friendly and cooperative relations serve as a good example featured by equality, mutual benefit, and harmonious coexistence between states. The relations serve the interests of the two nations and have contributed to the regional peace, stability and prosperity. I hope this website can further enhance the mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Brunei Darussalam.
